Video Reveals How Hacker Hacked Touch ID in 30 Hours

The German hacker who successfully bypassed iPhone 5s Touch ID has revealed the video showing how exactly the ‘hack’ was performed.

The well-known german hacker — who is nicknamed StarBug — told in an interview by ArsTechnica that it required 30 hours to hack the Touch ID using a high resolution laser printer, a scanner and a printed circuit board and it was “way easier than expected to bypass”.

So should you worry about your privacy?

First, the hack performed by StarBug is quite complicated which requires a very good expertise and special equipments that not all people might know how to use them. Unlike PIN unlocking system – which your friend might spot you unlocking your iPhone with your PIN — this hack require people to take your phone away for sometime.

Second, if you lost your iPhone, it depends upon how important documents you have in it. If you are a very important person who always carry important informations on your iPhone, the hack might worth it. Otherwise, not.

Apple has just announced its anticipated product, iPhone 5s alongside iPhone 5c at the company’s keynote.

Apple Sued Over Misleading Breaking Bad Season Pass Offering

Noam Lazebnik, a Breaking bad TV show fan from Ohio sued Apple for providing a false Season Pass for the show. The fifth and the last season of Breaking Bad is divided into two parts and Apple’s $22.99 season pass for iTunes was only effective for the first half although it is not meant to work that way. A proper action against this act by Apple has yet to be decided.

Apple today started sending out invitations for its September 10 grand event also titled unofficially as the iPhone event with a purpose to introduce its new and really powerful iPhone products to the public officially. The event will commence at 10 AM Pacific time at the Apple’s head quarters in Cupertino, California.

The war between Mac and Windows is a never ending one, especially because of being heated up equally by both the sides. But, the actual statistical studies has some really bad news for one of the side here. Recent analysis show that Mac OS X has even dropped below the Microsoft’s Windows 8, in the total market share.

Windows 8 was lagging behind the Mac OS X in market share at the start of the month August by about 1%. The situation today seems to be the opposite as Mac OS X now lags behind Windows 8. The three different versions of the Mac OS X sum up to provide a total of 6.72% market share compared with the 7.4% share held by Microsoft’s Windows 8.

Apple’s iOS7 is about to launch probably alongside the new iPhones in September. Compared to the iOS 6, iOS 7 have slightly enlarged the Home screen icons.

To overcome with the interface issues, the apps developer needs to incorporate big size icons in their applications. iOS 7 icons are slightly larger with 120×120 pixel resolution where iOS 6 icons have 114×114 resolution. With regard to iPad, iOS 6 icons resolution is 114×114, in iOS 7 the resolution is 152×152.
