Bloomberg reports that Apple is focusing on iPhone 6 curved screen that will also feature touch pressure sensor. The new phones will have a larger screen which has been already covered under the rumored iPhone 6 specs. The new iPhone release date is scheduled for September, 2014.
Bloomberg claims the new iPhone 6 screens to be curved at the edges. A pressure touch sensor is also rumored which will be able to determine the amount of pressure the user exerts on the phone which might actually be put to some good use.
This will not only boost the Phone’s usability but will also prove as an innovative control gesture in the capacitive touch-screens department.
“Two models planned for release in the second half of next year will feature larger displays with glass that curves downward at the edges. Sensors that can distinguish heavy or light touches on the screen may be incorporated into subsequent models,” reports Bloomberg.
The screen size is rumored to be between 4.7 and 5.5 inches.
The pressure sensor technology is however something Bloomberg reports might not be available in the upcoming iPhone release and might be added to the next model. This is because of the technology limitations which Apple is trying really hard to cover as soon as possible.
A large screen iPhone is what the users have been awaiting since a long time. The upcoming iPhone will therefore feature that as rumored. The origins for the concept of curved screens can however not be determined.
The new iPhones will launch in 2014 in the same dates as the previous releases as this has become a standard time for Apple to unleash its new Phones to the public.
