The long awaited Istanbul Apple Store opens to public as the first Eastern Europe/Asia Minor Apple Store. Located as the Zorlu Center, the store is mostly subterranean with a glass upward protrusion. The store is 4 large panes of glass covered by a white roof with darker Apple logo surrounded by a fountain.
The 20,000 square-foot store located in the heard of Istanbul’s Zorlu Shopping Center features a breathtaking all-glass exterior as shown in photos.
Apple CEO Tim Cook and the Turkish President Abdullah Gul were not in attendance at the inauguration but both expressed their remarks and feelings about the store.
Steve Cano, Apple’s Vice President of Retail Operations showed off the structure’s incredible and breathtaking architecture to the press. He told the press that this store uses more glass than any previous Apple Store and contains special glass material that makes it use full advantage of sunlight in the open area.
Tim Cook said a formal Thank You to the Turkish people at the opening in their own language on Twitter.

According to iDownloadBlog, Apple has introduced anew design scheme for its stores and focuses on the 100 percent seamless glass appearance with lots of open space to make the visitors feel they’re part of the surrounding.
Apple is rumored to open four more stores in the country by the end of 2015 including one located on the Asian side of Istanbul in the Akasya shopping mall.
