Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus which were unveiled on September 12th are being pre-ordered like hotcakes. Apple says 4 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were pre-ordered in the first 24 hours. This is a new record for Apple. The pre-order count of iPhone 5s along with iPhone 5c combined was just 2.2 million in the first day.
This news is not good for everyone, though. As the demand is much more than expected, not everyone will be getting their iPhone 6 on time. While many will get their handsets in September, others will have to wait till October. Both the models of iPhone 6 will be delayed although it is not clear who all will be the ones to get the phone on October.
Apple will start selling iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on 19th September in the United States, France, Germany, Hong-Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Australia, Canada, Singapore and the UK. Apple will be selling their iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in stores as well through carrier retail locations and authorized resellers.
People from other countries will have to wait till 26th September. More than 20 countries including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and United Arab Emirates will be able to buy iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus through stores on 26th September.
Customers who buy iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus from the Apple store will also get free customer service support. The users will be taught on how to set-up E-Mail and will also be introduced to new apps and offerings. Users will also be taught on how to customize the phone so that the up and running with their new iPhone before they leave the Apple Store. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will come pre-loaded with iOS 8 mobile platform.
