Verizon and Sprint will start taking pre-orders for the Apple’s new iPhone 5c on this Friday at 12:01 AM PST (3:01 AM EST). Apple announced its new iPhone products on a recent event titled the iPhone event at their headquarters in California.
Pre-orders will also be taken directly by Apple on the same date i.e. September 13th. The exact time is however not specified by Apple. Verizon and Sprint have though confirmed that. Apple is also expected to be setting the same time but that’s not finalized as yet.
Apple’s other introduction, the iPhone 5s will however not undergo pre-orders as confirmed by Apple and will be released directly on the 20th of September making the iPhone 5c the only smartphone by Apple available for pre-orders this year.
The iPhone 5c is similar to the iPhone 5 in specifications. It features a 4.0 inch retina display, an 8 megapixel back-camera and is powered by the A6 microprocessor. The only difference is the casing which is made from some scratch-resistant plastic material which will also be available in several different colors.
Other than the US, the pre-orders will commence in China, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and UK on the same day. The exact time has not yet been specified for the outside regions.
Verizon and Sprint have always done a nice job at this pre-ordering stuff unlike Apple where you would experience unusual delays. Pre-ordering the phone not from Apple therefore would be the best course to take so as to avoid any lags and get superb service as provided by Verizon and Sprint.
