Analyst Philip Elmer-Dewitt of Fortune reports Apple iPad sales to have crossed a record 25 million in the last holiday quarter. He suggested the sale rates of iPad will grow at a 10% every year based on the current statistics. A major hand in setting this record has to be of the Apple’s new and remarkable iPad Air.
According to a survey carried out by The NPD Group, Apple iPad leads the best selling tablets list of 2013 while Google’s Chromebook beats the MacBook Pro by a decent margin.
T-Mobile selling iPhones and iPads for $0 down payment as according to their official announcement today. While it previously only sold the iPads on instalments, it would now feature iPhones too. The deal starts from today and will continue for an unreported period of time.
Apple offers iPhone 5S unlocked for sale at their U.S online stores. The unlocked sim-free GSM phones will be able to operate on several mobile networks. Apple released the iPhone 5S this September but it was available for contract and/or including a carrier.

The iPhone 5C low demand makes Apple reportedly cut its production orders by a further one-third. Recently Apple reduced iPhone 5C orders because of the decreasing price in the grey markets and now would be doing it again so as to balance out with the product’s demand.
A newly leaked photos of iPad Mini 2 reveals that it will have fingerprint sensor, Touch ID similar as the one that iPhone 5s has.
The photos were ‘leaked’ by a Chinese site DoNews.
However, it still unknown if Apple iPad 5 will include the Touch ID feature or not.
The German hacker who successfully bypassed iPhone 5s Touch ID has revealed the video showing how exactly the ‘hack’ was performed.
The well-known german hacker — who is nicknamed StarBug — told in an interview by ArsTechnica that it required 30 hours to hack the Touch ID using a high resolution laser printer, a scanner and a printed circuit board and it was “way easier than expected to bypass”.
So should you worry about your privacy?
First, the hack performed by StarBug is quite complicated which requires a very good expertise and special equipments that not all people might know how to use them. Unlike PIN unlocking system – which your friend might spot you unlocking your iPhone with your PIN — this hack require people to take your phone away for sometime.
Second, if you lost your iPhone, it depends upon how important documents you have in it. If you are a very important person who always carry important informations on your iPhone, the hack might worth it. Otherwise, not.
Apple today announced that it is extending the retail Personal Pickup service for its new iPhone models, the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c. Considering the increasing demand for the the new iPhones, which can be determined by their record breaking sales this weekend, this was a necessary step taken by Apple for making the buying of iPhone 5s, 5c online, simpler.
